“You can’t judge a book by its cover,” as the saying goes — or can you? Book cover design can be tricky.  You, as the author, want the cover to portray what your book is about. Covers DO say a lot about your book, and a ragtag cover may kill your readership. I have picked up a few books, only to put them down simply because of the cover.

I have been told by many readers that the covers on my Journey Home series draw them in and make them want to read the book. That’s a line any author wants to hear.

Authors are encouraged to hire a professional graphic artist when designing their book cover, and that is a wise thing to do if you need help. Many times the author has a good idea of what they want, but not sure how to make it happen. That’s where the designer comes in.

I have designed all the covers for my own books as well as for over twenty other authors in many genres.
