BOOK COVER DESIGN

“You can’t judge a book by its cover,” as the saying goes — or can you? Book cover design can be tricky.  You, as the author, want the cover to portray what your book is about. Covers DO say a lot about your book and a ragtag cover may kill your readership. I have picked up a few books, only to put them down simply because of the cover.

Authors are encouraged to hire a professional graphic artist when designing their book cover, and that is a wise thing to do if you need help. Many times the author has a good idea of what they want, but not sure how to make it happen. That’s where the designer comes in.

COVER DESIGN

I have designed covers for over fifty books in many genres. The slideshow below gives examples.

I have been told by many readers that the covers on my Journey Home series draw them in and make them want to read the book. That’s a line any author wants to hear.

I would love to create a custom design for your cover.

Cover prices – Front cover (digital copy) – $75

Full cover (front/back for print copy) – $125

Wrap-around cover – $150 (front matches back)

If pictures must be purchased, additional charges will be added. I will work with your ideas and thoughts throughout the process. You will have the final say on the product before it goes to print. Covers can be glossy or matte finish. (All pictured above are a glossy finish – most are 6×9 size).  Covers are submitted back to you as a JPEG and PDF.
