baby readingSometimes you just need a quick, easy, and fun read. Something to pick up, curl up, and tuck into to make you feel good, laugh, or cry. You’ve come to the right place. Besides a few of my own stories, you will find links to other great places to catch some good words.

In the Spring of 2015, a challenge was given to authors: Can you write a flash fiction story (a very, very short story 500-750 words) in 26 sentences. The qualifier was to make each sentence start with a sequential letter of the alphabet. Authors from all over the world responded with every genre imaginable. The result became an anthology called “A Quick Read: One Minute Stories from all over the World.”

Inside Ballerina printed in A Quick Read, and in the Creative Collections anthology of the Springfield Writers’ Guild, won first place in the fiction category in the 2014 Springfield Writers’ Guild Literary Contest. Read it here…
